Cirrus is an East Anglian Mk 1, designed by Alan Buchanan, built by T.C.White of Brightlingsea in 1959. A carvel wooden single displacement hull with self draining open, aft cockpit. Hull of Mahogany planking on Oak frames, superstructure of Teak . An interior of Teak and Mahogany. Much of the vessel including her mast and boom are original.
June 2024 - She is a very well presented, a Classic Yacht, "Ready to Go", in the water after her annual refit, in commission, engine serviced.

An Open aft cockpit with bench seating, stowage under.
Varnished wooden wash boards, a sliding hatch over the companionway.
Step in over bridge deck. Solid Teak companionway steps. Painted wooden cabin sole boards, accessible to the open bilge.
A single open cabin, "Heads up", a Jabsco manual toiler in the forepeak with privacy doors, sited under the opening forehatch on the centreline. Bow used storage for gear, sails, covers etc.
2 x single Quarter berths run aft either side of the companionway. Upholstered berth cushioning, varnished slatted berth bases sited over water tanks/ and the batteries (strb'd side). Amidships there is a navigation station and chart table.
12 v Cabin lights. A gimballed oil lamp fixed to the forward coach roof.
A Galley facility opposite with single sink. Manually pumped water system for both
water in and out.
A Plastimo Neptune Double burner gas hob, grill and oven.
Gas locker is sited in a vented box within the lazarette aft of the cockpit, gas bottle
A dining table with drop down leaves is on the centreline of the saloon.
Forward to the mast deck bulkhead are 2 x single settee berths with matching upholstery
A mark one East Anglian, designed by Alan Buchanan.
Mark one version of design, where the coach roof stops short of the mast.
A single displacement hull long fixed keel, Carvel planked Mahogany topsides on Oak frames, Oak floors throughout. Decks of marine ply Epoxy sheathed and painted. A transom stern of Mahogany.
Keel bolts were said to be fine by the Boatyard last year . .
Superstructure - cabin sides, toe rails etc all varnished Teak.
Chrome framed Acrylic lights in the doghouse.
Interior of Teak and Mahogany. Topsides painted out. internally and externally.
Long keeled, iron ballast keel.
Paint scheme- boot top in Blue and Red antifouling.
Pure white topsides. and cream decks.
Much of the is vessel is original, professionally built in 1959 by the renowned boatbuilder Cyril White of Brightlingsea. Carries a simple Bermudian Rig.

2002-2004 She underwent a complete restoration.
She has been in her present ownership since 2007, She has been Out of the water stored ashore each Winter. Totally refitted, repainted and re varnished prior to relaunching.

A twin cylinder 2GM20 Yanmar 18hp diesel engine. sited under the companionway steps, mounted on timber beds, shaft driven, a triple bladed propeller, raw water cooled, electric start, ignition in the cockpit. Single lever Morse controls. Annually serviced, last serviced 1st June 2024. Engine spares kept onboard. Little used in present ownership. 1 - 1.5l/hr fuel consumption. Range of 150 nmiles. New water pump fitted June 2024.
Stainless steel fuel tank sited under the cockpit sole. deck filler.
Fractional Bermudan Rig. Varnished wooden mast and spars. The original hollow mast (which was re-glued in 2021.) Keel stepped mast. Boom has Roller and slab reefing gear. Original Bronze gooseneck fitting to the mast.
2 x Bonze Halyard winches, 2 x Original bronze sheet winches.
Synthetic materials running rigging. Standing rigging is Stainless steel .
Original galvanised Mainsheet horse, behind the cockpit.
Blue canvas main sail cover/ forward hatch and dodgers made new in 2016. .
Standing rigging replaced in 2016 by TS Rigging .
Running rigging replaced in 2021
Her sail were made in 2004 they are in good condition cleaned and serviced in recent years. A Main sail No1 Genoa, a jib and a cruising chute.The jib and the cruising chute have had very little use.

2 x heavy duty batteries, new in 2022, secured in a box under the starboard Quarter berth.
Fuse panel sited behind the companionway steps.
